The General Department of Internal Security at Cairo Metro Company continues its work in launching its intensive campaigns on lines 1 & 2 during the month of August 2022 to facilitate the movement of passengers and to address all negative phenomena inside the halls and sidewalks as well as inside the trains in cooperation with the Transport Police and to collecting fines and make reports of violators in cooperation with the metro police


In compliance with the directions of Mr. Lieutenant-General, Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, to facilitate the public of passengers and remove any obstacles, as well as to address the phenomenon of street vendors and beggars in metro lines at stations and inside trains, and according to the instructions of Engineer Ali Al-Fadali, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director .The General Department of Internal Security has developed an action plan that will last from seven in the morning until eight in the evening, led by Major General Ibrahim Bakhit, Director General of the General Department of Security, and in cooperation with the metro police, by launching intensive campaigns on the first and second lines from August 1, 2022 until August 31, 2022, where the campaign was With a large number of stations, it targeted the densest stations (Al-Marj Al-gadida - Al-Marg - Ezbet Al-Nakhl - Al-Matareya - Helmeyat Al-Zaytoun - Hadayek ElZaytoun - Saray Al-Qubba - Manshiet Al-Sadr - kobry Al-Qubba - Al-Demerdash - Ghamra - Al-Shuhada - Anwar ElSadat - Gamal Abdel Nasser - Al-Malik Al-Salih - Alsayeda Zainab - Tora Al-Balad - Ataba - Rowd al-Farag- Massara - Saint Teresa – Koliet el zeraa - Shubra El-Kheima).The company explained in its statement that such campaigns are intended to eliminate all negative phenomena inside the subway facility and to tighten control over the movement of passengers through the entry and exit gates and to facilitate the movement of passengers . For that an immediate fine of fifty pounds is signed, and whoever refuses to pay the fine a report will be issued with the knowledge of the police, and also to address the phenomenon of street vendors and beggars inside the trains, and arrest them and hand them over to the police station to make records for them, as well as participating in securing daily revenue transfers in the mobile treasury of lines 1 & 2 . The company announced that during the month of August 2022, a total of 112 street vendors were handed over to the metro police, and reports were made for them. 3 reports of begging by trains and 1 violation of railroad crossing were made with a total number of fines and reports are 116 during the month.
